TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Students were left confused and concerned after they're bombarded with alerts from the school's alert system this morning.

The system sending out alerts about a "dangerous and hazardous condition" on campus.

There were no emergencies but here's a look at one of the messages.

Some of the alerts included "Dangerous situation on campus...Seek shelter now."

The FSU Director of Media Relations says this is a rare occurrence and they are still confident in their alert system and the mishap occurred due to an issue related to a software upgrade.

We spoke with students on FSU's campus after the notification to see how they reacted.

And while some students reacting more severely to the alert, others dismissed it saying they have seen problems with this system before and asking for FSU officials to fix the system.
