TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - After a morning school bus crash on North Monroe Street, school officials said that the two students who were injured have been released and will return to school on Wednesday.

Around 9:30 a.m., the principal at the Tallahassee School of Math and Science (TSMS) said that earlier in the morning, a school bus carrying several of the school's students was involved in an accident on North Monroe Street.

Two students were transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Just after 2 p.m., the school announced that both the students had been released and will return to school on Wednesday.

TSMS said that it has contacted the Department of Transportation and has requested school zone signs and reduce speed signs in that area to prevent this from happening again.

They also said that local law enforcement is investigating the accident.
