JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Authorities are investigating after a student made a threat on an elementary school in Jackson County.
According to the Jackson County School District, a student made a threat to Riverside Elementary School Tuesday afternoon.
The school district said they are handling the threat seriously and the child will not be at school.
The threat is being investigated and assessed fully. The school district stated because of precautions being taken, parents can be assured their children and school staff will be safe.
They told parents remind to their children that all threats will be taken seriously and addressed with the severest of penalties.
