ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - An Albany High School student looking to celebrate an unofficial holiday with schoolmates has been arrested for marijuana brownies.

WALB-TV (http://bit.ly/1zFjjyh) reports 19-year-old Justin Crutchfield brought the dessert Monday. Police say at least 15 students ate the brownies. Three were treated at a hospital but are fine now.

Dougherty County Schools police Chief Troy Conley says the brownies could have been laced with something other than marijuana.

Crutchfield has been charged with disruption of public school. Conley says drug charges against Crutchfield are on hold until the brownies are tested.

The origins of the number 420 as a code for marijuana are murky. Fans of the drug have long marked April 20 as a day to enjoy pot and call for increased legal access to it.
