DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Sheriff's deputies say they've apprehended one suspect and were searching for another after a store robbery led to a police chase and crash just west of Atlanta.
Douglas County sheriff's Lt. Glenn Daniel said the ordeal began around 6:20 a.m. Thursday, when two male suspects in ski masks jumped over the counter of a Circle K convenience store and stole cash and cigarettes.
Daniel said the suspects left the store in a vehicle, which deputies began to pursue until it crashed into a utility trailer at an intersection near Six Flags Over Georgia. He said both suspects got out and ran, and one was caught.
Daniel said deputies are searching for the second suspect in the area, which includes many businesses.
