TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Dozens of students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School were in Tallahassee Tuesday night.
They were getting ready for a big day of meetings and a gun reform rally at the Capitol on Wednesday.
More than a hundred people greeted the students at Leon High School.
They clapped, hugged, and some students handed out cookies and made pins that say MSD for Marjory Stoneman Douglas.
Dozens of students made the trip on a handful of coach buses.
Arriving here, the students got a hot meal provided free by local businesses. There has just been so much support shown for these students.
Before they headed to the tucker center to get some rest, the students were here planning, ahead of a busy day of meetings with legislators and a gun reform rally at the Capitol on Wednesday.
"This isn't about school shootings," one of the students said. "This isn't about violence anymore. This is about hope. This is about moving forward with everybody. This is about you guys. This is about everybody here making a difference for students in their lives. Thank you so much for having us and wish us luck "
Hundreds are expected to attend the rally that starts at noon at the Capitol.
