BAINBRIDGE, Ga.-- Two pitbulls stolen from the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society have been returned, and a man has been arrested for the crime.
Video surveillance showed two people removing the dogs, Douglas and Carmel, on Friday night through a hole in the fence.
According to the humane society, police followed up on tips that led them to the home of Paul Ray Nelson.
When officers responded to Nelson's home, they say they found the dogs.
Police say Nelson tried to escape through an open window, but he was arrested.
