TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Giving Tuesday Gala held Tuesday night highlighted Tallahassee's women working in STEM, whose careers are dominated mostly by men.
STEMS-4-Girls is a program that offers science, technology, engineering and math related programs and lectures for school-aged girls, encouraging them to enter STEM related career fields.
Leaders from different fields shared their thoughts about the importance of expanding after-school STEM educational enrichment activities.
The event was a big thank you party for previous donors and an opportunity to inform prospective donors on the importance of donating to a program like this one.
