STEINHATCHEE, FL (WTXL) -- A Steinhatchee woman was found dead in her home Tuesday night, according to law enforcement.
According to the Taylor County Sheriff's Office, when deputies arrived to the home on Riverside Drive, they found 59-year-old Colleen Thomas dead.
Deputies are currently investigating the incident and say the medical examiner's office has ruled the death a homicide.
Investigators say they have found a person of interest. According to deputies, the location of that person is known and say they are not a threat to the community.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is assisting the investigation. Officers are not releasing any further details about the death of Thomas.
