All events, reservations at Florida State Parks canceled for next 60 days

TAMPA, Fla. — All events, activities, special event reservations, pavilion rentals and camping reservations at Florida State Parks are canceled for the next 60 days due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Existing overnight camping reservations that start Wednesday, March 18 will still be honored. Visitors must arrive before 5 p.m. on Wednesday to secure their reservation. After Wednesday, all reservations are canceled and will be refunded.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced the cancellations and a change to visitation hours on Tuesday. According to a press release, at this time parks will stay open for day use, but visitor hours are changed to 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
