TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Governor Rick Scott declared a State of Emergency for every county in Florida Friday morning in preparation for Tropical Storm Erika.
He says the storm poses a severe threat and adds that Floridians have plenty of time to get prepared. He also says that Emergency Management is ready.
The declaration gives authorities the ability to waive tolls and rules to allow emergency crews and vehicles to move throughout the state. It also calls for the activation of the National Guard.
