TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Crews say a fire on Tallahassee's Southside destroyed a home Monday night.
The Tallahassee Fire Department says that they battled the fire in the 400 block of Moonlit Trace just before 11 p.m. Monday night.
They say fire conditions were so intense that crews had to change their attack efforts due to the dangers within the unoccupied home.
Once the fire was under control, crews searched the home to make sure no one was inside.
TFD say one person made it out of the home before their arrival and was treated by Leon County EMS.
They say the home was a total loss and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office. Damage to the home is estimated at $50,000.
