TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Startup Quest held a conference Thursday bringing together its program graduates, mentors, and successful entrepreneurs.
The innovative program provides entrepreneurial training to qualified professionals by connecting them with successful entrepreneurs
The session introduced prospective students to the program's focus.
Entrepreneurs shared their success stories with attendees, and graduates of the program say it has helped them refocus their business ventures.
"It allowed me to re-evaluate my business, look at it in a different way," said business owner Stan Johnson. "I was focused on a different style of photography, which was more of a luxury type of photography. After going through the program and researching and really thinking about it, I decided to make a transition."
The program is based on a evaluation grant, meaning that 75 percent of eligible applicants will be placed in the program and 25% of eligible applicants will be in the control group.
