TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - On Thursday, you can hop on any Star Metro bus for free, in honor of National "Dump the Pump" Day.
Star Metro is joining other public transit system's all across the U.S., offering a "fare free day" to encourage people to cut down on gas and use public transportation.
According to the The American Public Transportation Association's Transit Savings Report, a two-person household can save on average more than $10,000 annually by downsizing to one car.
The community is invited to CK Steele Plaza for free snacks and refreshments, plus the opportunity to learn more about bus routes, bus schedule, and public transit.
