41st Turkey Trot Draws 7,000 People from Around the Country

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Runners from across the country came into town for the 41st Annual Turkey Trot.

Close to 7,000 runners took off from the starting line at 8 a.m. sharp in Tallahassee's Southwood community.

The Turkey Trot included a 15k, 10k, 5k and a one-mile fun run.

Organizers said that it is one of the most popular races in Tallahassee, with thousands of runners from around the country coming out each year.

All proceeds from Thursday's run benefited the Shelter and Refuge House.
