There are more than 4,000 miles between Tallahassee and Dublin, Ireland, but Saturday, St. Patrick's Day kicked off in the capital city, making that distance feel just a little bit shorter.
While the festival and parade may have only been going on for the past eight years, organizers spent the last 25 years planning and raising funds for the event.
It's thanks to private donations and support from the City of Tallahassee that the group was able to bring the celebration of Irish traditions to life.
