Tallahassee, Fl (WTXL) - One of Tallahassee's biggest events is coming up this weekend, but many are wondering if the weather conditions will effect this springtime affair.

Springtime Tallahassee is one of the most attended events in Tallahassee, as well as one of the largest parades in the Southeast. The event features a grand parade of over 100 floats, a music festival, and a jubilee of art and food vendors.

This weekend's rainy weather has many wondering if the celebration will still go on.

The president of Springtime Tallahassee, Ron Mowrey told us, "The parade and the festival will proceed as scheduled. We will monitor it hour by hour. If it is just light rain we won't call it off. We're working closely with the sheriff and police department on a contingency plan.

Springtime Tallahassee has been around since 1967 and this year will mark the 46th annual Springtime Tallahassee parade. The Springtime Tallahassee committee say they are taking all of the steps to assure the tradition will stay on schedule.
