TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Spring rush week began Monday at Florida State University for students wanting to join a fraternity.

This is just nearly three months after a pledge died of alcohol poisoning at an off-campus party.

University officials say there will be more supervision from the university moving forward.

Fraternities promote brotherhood, leadership, service, scholarship and ritual.

Rush week ends Thursday.
