COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The spike in job creation in Colquitt County is creating problems as the county has limited housing.
Officials say the city of Colquitt has a little over 5,000 citizens living in the area and 600 of those, are hospital employees expanding the population in all classes.
"We have created an economic engine here that far exceeds the capacity of the community," said Robin Rau, CEO of Miller County Hospital.
The City Manager says while they have applied for funds to solve this issue, he is encouraging folks to look at the land in the city.
