TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - For those who live on the Southside of Tallahassee, Thursday is your chance to hear all about the changes coming to your neighborhood.
WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams was live Thursday morning with more details on those changes.
There are many projects coming into the Southside, and they address everything from beautification projects, the businesses moving into the area and public safety.
Cynthia Barber is the assistant City Manager.
"We can hear directly from not only the leaders of the organization, but also the people that do the work," Barber said. "They can hear from them about what's possible, where we are on projects. And we can also have the experts there to respond to requests and concerns that they have. Anytime that we can connect the government with community partners, with neighbors, with our citizens, we have a better chance of implementing sustainable change in our community. So I think is a good step towards doing that."
Barber says the city is looking to focus efforts in the South City Community this year.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Walker-Ford Community Center.
