VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) –Ten families receive Thanksgiving meals from the Southeastern Credit Union in Valdosta.
The credit union bought turkeys and employees donated side dishes. Southeastern's Community Partners in Education (CPIE) partner schools identified the families as in need.
Since 2010, the credit union has provided Thanksgiving meals to 44 families.
"Our employees enjoy participating in this project year after year and giving back to our community," said Courtney Gooding, the marketing manager at Southeastern Credit Union. "We appreciate our Community Partners in Education schools and all that they do for the children and families in our community. The least we can do is help out a few of those families during the holidays."
