LAKELAND, Ga. (WTXL) - A south Georgia business is named by the Georgia Retail Association as Retailer of the Year.
This is the first time the Retail Association has presented the award.
The winners were nominated by their peers and were chosen by a selection committee.
Georgia Olive Farms, a Lanier County business, is a family owned business that has put olive oil on the map in the state of Georgia.
They harvested the first commercial crop of olives east of the Mississippi in 2011 for the first time since the 1800's.
