South Georgia Medical Center to offer free prostate screening

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--It's National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and South Georgia Medical Center is urging men to get checked out.

According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men behind only to lung cancer.

On Thursday, September 18th, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Pearlman Cancer Center, men can get checked out for free!

They will also be provided more information about prostate cancer including a list of symptoms that could serve as early warning signs.
