COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a south Georgia man has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography.
Authorities say 23-year-old Douglas Roseth of Americus was in court Tuesday and admitted to posing as a teenage girl on social media to entice young boys. Investigators say Roseth convinced boys to expose themselves to him online and participate in explicit conversations.
Prosecutors say Roseth's plea agreement calls for a mandatory 15-year minimum sentence and a fine of up to $250,000.
U.S. Attorney Michael Moore said in a release that parents must be vigilant about monitoring their children's computer usage.
