Soul Santa to arrive in Frenchtown by helicopter Friday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --The Lawrence-Gregory Community Center will host the Annual Arrival of Soul Santa on Friday, December 14, in Frenchtown.

The event will be from  2:30 - 6:00 p.m. at Fourth Avenue in Tallahassee. At 4 p.m.,  Santa will arrive by helicopter to distribute gifts to all registered infants and children up to age 10. Registration will begin for pre-school children at 2:30 p.m. and for grade school children at 3:00 p.m. Children must be present to register. Live entertainment begins at 3:00 p.m.

  • TCC Head Basketball Coach, Teresa Atkinson
  • Free activities and entertainment
  • Singers, dancers and steppers
  • Griffin Middle School Band and Dancer
  • Free Refreshments

The following organizations are contributing to the event: the Lawrence-Gregory Community Center, Laverne Payne Community Center, Tallahassee Police Department, Tallahassee Fire Department, Leon County commissioners, Leon County Sheriff's Office and United Healthcare.
