TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Some children in the capital city received early Christmas presents from Santa.
Saturday, at the Walker Ford Community Center kids under the age of 10 received gifts from Soul Santa.
One of the organizers said Soul Santa is very important to the Bond Community.
"The Soul Santa brings the community, brings family together. We show them love, we have live entertainment with children, plus we give them a gift, a chance to get food, great fellowship. We see from kids from the age of 1 all the way to 10. Again it brings family together, thats our goal to see family come together and to also strengthen the families," said Center Supervisor Frank Holmes.
About 700 kids went home with gifts and more than 1,000 people came out to the event.
