TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Some Capital City community centers are getting an extra dose of Christmas cheer.
Soul Santa is making some special stops to get everyone into the holiday spirit.
Friday, he handed out gifts to children at the Leverne Payne Community Center in the city's Frenchtown neighborhood.
There was also entertainment and food to help keep the party going.
Organizers says the kids look forward to this event every year.
"These kids really are deserving of it," said Stephen Beasley, the founder of Soul Santa. "They work a full year in school, and this is kind of a treat to tell them a job well done and something to boost them and kick off for the next year's school year."
Soul Santa will be in the Capital City Saturday as well.
He will be making a stop at the Walker-Ford Community Center Saturday, December 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
