Tallahassee, FL (WTXL) -- Jason Derfuss, a student at FSU, posted pictures after narrowly being hit by a bullet in the shooting at Strozier Library.
Around 1:30 a.m., an hour after the shooting, Derfuss posted to facebook "I saw the shooting on campus. I'm okay tho".
Three hours later he posted pictures of a bullet and the damage it did to his books and backpack.
Derfuss said he was leaving the library when the shooter targeted him first.
"The shot I heard behind me I did not feel, nor did it hit me at all. He was about 5 feet from me, but he hit my books."
Jason Derfuss says he didn't know he had been hit at the time. It was not until he got home that he found bullet holes in his books and backpack.
The pictures have been circulating social media amongst thoughts and prayers for the victims.
Jason said, "I assumed I wasn't a target, I assumed I was fine".
