TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--The Smokey Hollow community, founded in the late 1890's, once stood in Tallahassee.
The John G. Riley Center and Museum's founding director Althemese Barnes had a vision to make sure the community is always remembered.
She sat down with WTXL ABC 27's Jade Bulecza about the special tribute.
A grand opening is planned for Friday.
