DANIA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Broward County authorities say a Cessna 172 that was flying south along Broward County's shoreline crashed into the Atlantic.
First responders found the downed small plane and two of its occupants off the coast of Dania Beach Saturday.
Sheriff's spokesman Mike Jachles wrote on Twitter that two victims were found in the water.
The conditions of the plane's occupants were not immediately known.
The Coast Guard dispatched a boat from its station in Fort Lauderdale shortly after 10 a.m. to respond to the scene of the downed aircraft.
