TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A stroke can be a scary experience for a patient and their family, but knowing the signs and symptoms can help patients to a faster recovery.
Monday morning on Sunrise we were joined by Dr. Siddharth Seghal, a neurologist at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Dr. Seghal told us not only what a stroke is but how to identify if you or a loved one is suffering a stroke. You can watch the full interview on the left.
Later this month, Tallahassee Memorial will be conducting free Stroke screenings at their Quincy Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, May 31, from 10am to 2pm.
The screenings will include a comprehensive risk assessment, blood pressure check, cholesterol and glucose test, balance and strength testing, pharmacist consultations, and diabetes management education.
