TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police need your help identifying a person they say walked up to strangers in a grocery store and starting punching them for no reason.

On May 9th, shoppers and store employees were caught completely off-guard when a man started randomly punching people at Lucky's Market on West Tennessee Street.

The Tallahassee Police Department shared surveillance video on their Facebook page Monday. They say the woman who was punched sustained a serious injury to her face. They're still searching for the man responsible for the aggravated battery.

Despite the wild scene a few weeks ago, shoppers have carried on as normal at Lucky's Market. Many think the attack was a one-off, because they've never had any issues shopping at Lucky's.

"It's always good. Everyone's really friendly, I get along with all the workers. They tend to remember you, so it's been a joy shopping at Lucky's," said Alayna Lee. "[You] get your groceries with a smile and go home."

"We've never had any issues whatsoever," said Gerald Wright.

"Anything we've ever had questions about, they were always friendly. Everybody was always helpful and we enjoy shopping here," said Gerald's wife, Patricia Wright.

Lee added: "I would rather get my groceries here than go to Walmart or brave the hordes elsewhere."

WTXL reached out to management at Lucky's Market for comment, but we have not yet heard back.
