TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Shine on Gaines festival and art dedication has a new date.
The free event is now scheduled for Wednesday, December 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The festival and lighting of the Declaration sculpture was originally set for earlier this week, but was canceled because of the recent shooting at Strozier Library.
The "exclamation point" on Gaines STreet is the Declaration art installation. The 20-foot tall sculpture was designed by Kenneth Von Roenn, director of the Florida State University Master Craftsman Studio. It's at the roundabout at Gaines Street and Woodward Ave. The formal dedication ceremony is set for 6 p.m.
