Shelters close in Leon County

LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County has closed all but two shelters for evacuees. 

Leon County is now operating two host shelters for those that have evacuated from across Florida. The following shelters will be open as host shelters this afternoon:

  • Northwoods Baptist Church, 3762 Capital Circle NW
  • Huntington Oaks, 3840 N Monroe St (next to the Leon County Lake Jackson Library)

All other shelters were closed at noon on Tuesday. The special needs shelter at Florida High closed as well.
