TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Service for failure to register as a sexual predator and on drug charges.
When the law-enforcement officers found Theopholis Brinson, 34, Thursday morning in the 1500 block of Proctor Street, he tried to run away from them to a room in his home and ended up getting tased.
His drug charges are for possession of Alpha PVP (Flakka) and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
A warrant was issued for his arrest pertaining specifically to the Failure to Register as a Sexual Offender on Aug. 11, 2017.
After being cleared by EMS, Brinson was transported to Leon County Jail.
Marty West, deputy Commander of the U.S Marshal Fugitive Task Force, says that the home is right arund the corner from Raa Middle. Marshalls saw students walking to school when they apprended him.
West has a message for sexual predators:
"If you're a wanted sexual predator you can bet we're gonna find you and put you in jail," he says.
