TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - U.S. Marshals have arrested a sexual predator in Tallahassee wanted for possession of flakka and failure to report a change in address.

According to an arrest report, Theopholis Brinson was arrested on Thursday after U.S. Marshals surrounded a home in the 1500 block of Proctor Street.

They said that Brinson tried to resist arrest, disobeying commands to put his hands behind his back, which lead to authorities tasing him before taking him into custody.

A complaint says that in July, Brinson failed to report to the Leon County Sheriff's Office to register as a sexual offender and update his residential information.

Several times throughout the month, the complaint says that authorities tried to contact Brinson at his old address on Pond Pine Street but were unable to find him.

Deputies also found that Brinson had two outstanding warrants for his arrest for possession of flakka and possession of paraphernalia.

Brinson remains in the Leon County Jail on a $10,500 bond.
