TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Sexual assault experts in our area are reacting after two local law enforcement officers are booted off the force.
The Tallahassee Police Department fired officer Vincent Crump two weeks ago.
They are investigating a claim he sexually assaulted someone during a traffic stop.
Over the weekend, the Leon County Sheriff's Office fired Deputy Jarrett Broughton after his arrest for alleged aggravated assault.
A victim claims she was on a ride along with Broughton when he pulled out his baton and asked to see her breasts.
These investigations are sending shockwaves through the community.
Sexual assault experts say it's a good thing the victims are coming forward.
Broughton is facing a charge of aggravated assault. At this time, Crump has not been charged.
