Woodville Fla.-- Sex offenders are leaving the Good Samaritan Thrift Store in Woodville after the store was sent a letter from Leon County requiring they stop using the facility as transitional housing for sex offenders on Wednesday April 6th.
The Good Samaritan Thrift Store on Woodville Highway had been using its facility for transitional housing, when it is only cited to be used for religious purposes.
The building is located less than a half of a mile from Woodville Elementary.
According to Good Samaritan Network pastor and administrator, Andy Messer, the Department of Corrections worked with the displaced offenders to find new addresses.
Of the 14 sex offenders who were registered to the address of the thrift store, seven of whom are considered predators, all but three had left the premises as of Monday evening.
The remaining three are expected to be out by Monday night.
