TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A registered sex offender has been arrested, accused of sexually assaulting and taking inappropriate pictures of a juvenile victim.

Nathaniel Muse, 66, was arrested on Wednesday.

According to a probable cause document, the Leon County Sheriff's Office got a report in May 2017 about a sexual battery involving a 13-year-old victim.

The report stated Muse had been taking nude photographs of the victim for at least year. According to the reports, Muse also sexually assaulted the victim in February.

Investigators write that in 2010, Muse had been arrested in Michigan for contacting teenage juveniles and adult women in an attempt to take pictures of them having sex with another minor at his home.

Due to this arrest, Muse is a registered sex offender.

When detectives interviewed Muse, he denied ever taking inappropriate pictures and denied touching the victim.

When asked about being accused of such activities in the past, Muse admitted that he had been accused of touching a minor in Michigan while organizing a fashion show. He stated that he took a plea deal to keep the case from dragging on, and when asked why, Muse stated, "There were also some inappropriate pictures."

However, Muse couldn't "recall" anything about the time he spent alone with the victim during the interview.

After a search of his home, deputies were not able to find any physical evidence of the pictures, but did speak with another relevant contact whose testimony was consistent with the victim's.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for Muse's arrest. He was taken into custody on Wednesday on one count of sexual assault.
