TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Settlement negotiations continue between Florida A&M University, and the family of former Marching 100 drum major Robert Champion.

In an emergency meeting held Friday afternoon via conference call, FAMU's Board of Trustees unanimously voted to allow the University's legal team to continue negotiating a settlement with the Champion family.

Robert Champion was killed in a hazing incident at the 2011 Florida Classic football game in Orlando.

Exact details of any potential settlement between the university and the Champion family have not been made public at this time.
