SANFORD, Fla. (AP) — The Seminole County Supervisor of Elections has set up a website to vet election mailings that are confusing some voters.
Elections supervisor Michael Ertel said Thursday he was motivated to start the website after a voter told him a Washington-based advocacy group had sent a voter registration flyer to her dead cat.
Ertel says the website will educate voters about which flyers are legitimate and which aren't.
The elections supervisor says some of the out-of-state flyers from interest groups are confusing voters.
