SEMINOLE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A Seminole County Georgia student, accused of a sex crime against two teens during a school event, is charged with two counts of child molestation.

And we've learned a teacher is also under investigation by the school district in connection to the accusations.

18-year-old senior Jeremy Barber is currently being held at the Seminole County jail, after his bond was denied.

The parent of one of the victims claims the teens told a teacher monitoring the event about what happened and claims the teacher told the teens it'd be handled Thursday.

"With this particular incident, we're very concerned for the students involved. We try to do everything we can on a daily basis to protect the safety of these students," said Brinson Register, Seminole County Superintendent. "With this particular incident you can be sure that the Seminole County Board of Education has taken all the appropriate action."

The superintendent says he can't clarify what those actions are or the status of the teacher's employment, but he did confirm that Barber and the two victims were at the event.

According to this school year's Student Handbook under the Harassment section, it states that any action by a student or employee shall result in prompt and appropriate discipline which could result in termination of employment or expulsion of student.
