Semi-involved crash hospitalizes Quincy man

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Quincy man has been hospitalized in serious condition after a crash on I-10 Thursday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened Thursday morning near mile-marker 157 on I-10 westbound.

Troopers say that a semi driven by Alfredo Pajon of Miami was stopped in the outside lane due to mechanical issues. 

The say a 2011 GMC 1500 driven by Philip Golightly of Quincy, was traveling westbound as well, but due to traffic, was unable to avoid crashing into the back of the trailer to the semi was pulling.

FHP says that while Pajon did not sustain any injuries, Golightly suffered serious injuries and was transported to Bay Medical Center. 

Troopers say that charges are pending in the crash.
