VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - At the Valdosta Regional Airport enhancement projects are right on schedule.
County officials say the new building that will help transport passengers across a boarding bridge is close to completion.
Right now they're just hoping weather concerns don't get in the way
"Alberto may cause some issues here because we have a certain amount of rain days built in and if we exceed those numbers of rain days then we work with a contractor to see, to come to an agreement to see how many of those rain days will be extended on the other end," said Jim Galloway, the airport manager.
Construction on the building wraps up in the next few weeks, and the bridge should be finished by the end of July.
After that, crews will put new stripes on the runway.
