TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Beginning Monday, drivers traveling down South Magnolia Drive between South Meridian and Jim Lee Road will be taking a different route because of construction.
According to Leon County, the road will be closed to through traffic while workers being construction a multi-use trail and work on sewer improvements.
The trail will be built on the South side of the road and will be 10-foot-wide. While the road is being worked on for the trail, the City of Tallahassee will be replacing water and sewer lines along the road.
County officials say the construction is expected to be completed by the Summer of 2016.
