TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend held a food marketplace Monday for their 130 partner agencies to pick up food from their warehouse.
The event is an outgrowth of last Thursday's Turkey Drive where people in the community donated turkeys and cash for families in need.
Monday, non-profit organizations came to Second Harvest to pick up the donated food. Each agency receives 4 turkeys and as much fresh produce as they want, on a first come first serve basis.
Agencies will distribute all food that was donated to Second Harvest of the Big Bend to families in the community.
Any food that is not picked up Tuesday will be sent to agencies who need extra.
