TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Dr. Chris Tomshack, the founder and CEO of Healthsource Chiropractic, joined Second Cup on Tuesday to discuss ways to treat chronic pain and fight the opioid epidemic.

He spoke with WTXL ABC Sunrise Anchor Christine Souders.

Chiropractors can make adjustments and offer treatments to treat chronic pain.

The Federal Drug Administration recommends chiropractic care and acupuncture to combat the opioid epidemic. Stanford found opioid overdoes rates are highest after surgery.

For those reasons, the Salvation Army and HealthSource have forged a partnership to try to help reverse the trend.

The Salvation Army has more no-fee rehabilitation facilities than any other program in America. HealthSource is a leading holistic medicine and chiropractic franchise.
