TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - You’re about to have yet another chance to give back to the less fortunate this holiday season.

The Alternative Christmas Market is a way for people to buy presents for those who have enough by giving a gift in their name to those in need.

At the Alternative Christmas Market, shoppers purchase everything from crayons for children in the Guardian Ad Litem Program to hand-made goods to support mission work in other countries.

In it’s 31st year, the objective of the Alternative Market is to step away from the commercialization of Christmas and to make a difference in the lives of the truly needy.

It all kicks off December 2nd and 3rd at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 1689 Old St. Augustine Rd., Tallahassee, FL.

Entry is free.
