Second Arrest Made in Hamilton County Murder, Arson

JENNINGS, Fl (WTXL) -– A second arrest in the death of Shirlene Marshall, a Hamilton County woman who was found deceased inside a burning home on Sept. 13, was made Monday in Queens, N.Y.

The U.S Marshal’s Office, in conjunction with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, arrested Isa Mizan Dean, 24, on charges of arson and burglary of an occupied dwelling while armed.

This apprehension follows the Sept. 17 arrest of Jonard Edmund Banks in Charlton County, Ga. Investigators believe Dean and Banks went to Marshall’s residence in Jennings, Fla., intending to steal drugs.

Dean was booked into Vernon C. Bain Center in N.Y. The investigation will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 3rd Judicial Circuit.
