TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Enrolled/eligible veterans may obtain a seasonal flu vaccination from now until March 31, 2018, at all North Florida/South Georgia Veteran Health System facilities.

This is part of the VA's effort to reduce the impact of the seasonal flu and connected illness.

It is important for every veteran to get a flu shot, the only measure of protection from the influenza virus.

If you received the flu shot outside of the VA or for more information on flu vaccine sites, call the flu hotline at 1-800-324-8387, ext. 3358. Flu shots are also available at regularly scheduled primary care appointments.

VA has again teamed up with national retail pharmacy Walgreens to provide no-cost flu vaccinations for enrolled veterans through the VA Retail Immunization Care Coordination Program.

Veterans will need to present their Veterans Identification Card and a photo ID at any Walgreens.
